How can we relate arginase and high blood pressure?
- Through the articles, the arginase level is higher in obese rat.
- Then, the arteries and high arginine level will depleted by higher level of arginase.
- Arginine is the amino acid used to produce nitric oxide. While, nitric oxide is the gas that will relaxes the blood vessels and lowered the blood pressure of arteries.
- But, the problem is when the arginine level is lower. So, nitric oxide level produced also low. When the gas needed is not enough for the process, so the blood vessels will constricted and the blood pressure become higher. By that, hypertension will being experienced.
Ways to stable the arginine low level.
- Using drug to block the arginase activity. So, the low arginase level will depleted low arginine level. By this, the activity of both amino acid and enzyme were stable. This way is more preferred compared using L-Arginine.
- Take a diet with amino acid L-Arginine. L-Arginine is the natural amino acid found in fish and meat.
